Last Week’s Sermon - If you missed last Sunday’s sermon that Pastor Chris shared, titled “Soil,” kicking off our new sermon series, ‘It’s Like…,’ you can watch it here.
Global Engagement - We hope you are enjoying the take-home kits for Global Engagement week. If you were not able to pick one up at church on Sunday, you can go to the main doors (C and D) any time after 4PM to get one, or come to the church office from 9-4. Also, join us for a special event this Saturday April 17 from 2-3:30PM at the church for a chance to hear from and celebrate some of our missionaries. This event is open to everyone, with separate activities for both kids and adults! Kids will get to experience what it is like to live on the mission field through two unique “rooms” while parents head to the Family Life Center for a time of sharing, snacks, and a “High Tea”! You won’t want to miss this special event!
Wonderspace Coming - Wonderspace will be providing an indoor playing adventure for all Grant County families on Friday, April 23 (4-8PM) and Saturday April 24 (10-2PM) at our church. Come in Door A. Come play with us!
COVID Protocol Updates - Due to the increasing number of vaccinations and the reduction of COVID cases in our county, our in-person attendance has been steadily increasing. To provide adequate seating for our growing congregation and the new guests joining us each week, the ropes on our pews will be removed beginning Sunday, April 18. We ask attendees to make efforts to maintain physical distancing. If COVID cases in Grant County begin to spike again we may need to return to more strict measures, but our hope and prayer is that this move is another step in our journey to put COVID behind us.
Financial Report Town Hall - In order to maximize time in the Local Church Conference (May 16), we would like to hold two town hall meetings where you can see the financial report and proposed budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year and ask questions related to finances. The meetings will be held in the youth room and will take place on May 2 immediately following church and Monday, May 10 at 6:30PM. You can attend either meeting virtually if you would like to do so.
Camp Registration Now Open - It’s (almost) that time of year again – time for camp at Pokagon State Park! Kids for Christ Camp (KFC) for kids currently in grades 3-5 will be June 1-4 and those currently in grades 6-8 will attend 3 Fires Camp June 6-10. The cost is $115 per child. You can register here. If you would like to donate money to sponsor kids who cannot afford to go to camp, when you make a donation, write “camp” in the memo line. If you have questions about camp, you can reach out to Kayla at kwebb@lakeviewwesleyan.org
